As a child Sharon dreamed of being many things; a painter, a singer, an ice skater, a teacher, and a reporter. It soon became
apparent that she had very little drawing talent, very limited tolerence for falling on ice, and absolutely no ability to
staay on key while singing. She decided her future must lie in teaching at that point, and she became a teacher. During her
teaching career Sharon's father died of a stoke and it made her realize that she shouldn't go on doing what she did not enjoy.
She had to do what she really wanted to do before it was too late. Thanks to her time as a teacher, however, Ms. Creech also
realized not only did she have some writing talent, she enjoyed it, too. Hence, the novel (Sharon's only adult novel) "The
Recital " was published. Unfourtunatley, this novel was not a big hit at all. So, Sharon moved to England to tr again.
There she published a novel for children called,
